TERMINAL INFORMATION |

Located: From Glasgow, take the M8 and
A8 to Greenock before taking the coastal route to Gourock and follow signs
for Gourock - Dunoon ferry from the A770. From the south, take the A78 up
the Clyde coast past Largs and Wemyss Bay before turning left at Inverkip
roundabout onto the A770. Continue past the Argyll ferry point into Gourock
itself and turn left half a mile after passing the railway station onto the
approach to the ferry terminal. Follow signs for Gourock - Dunoon ferry.
From the north, cross over the Erskine Bridge and take the M8 and A8,
following the directions from Glasgow above. |

1 main ferry berth / secondary ferry berth at what is known as 'the wires',
just behind the linkspan, adjacent to the car waiting area / main terminal
building on one level, which is also CalMac headquarters. Public area
includes ticket office, waiting room and toilets / a single linkspan
adjacent to the terminal building / vehicle queuing area stretching back
from the linkspan towards the main road, along the sea wall. Ticket
facilities recently installed so drivers can purchase their tickets prior to
boarding / adjustable passenger gangway - can be moved and raised to suit
the tide and the vessel at the berth / smaller passenger vessel landing
stage at the extreme end of the terminal. Multi-level platform for use at
all tides |
